Queensland Women’s Week – March Forward with us
Queensland Women’s Week (QWW) is a chance for women and girls across the state to come together to recognise and advance on the successes of women and girls across Queensland.
Celebrations run from 2 to 9 March, with a highlight being International Women’s Day on 8 March. On that day, Queensland women join millions of others throughout the world to celebrate the economic, political and social achievements of women in the past, present and future.
Our theme, March Forward is a celebration of women and girls who have stood up to be heard, and acknowledges the fundamental right of every woman and girl to equally participate and be safe in all areas of our society including education, the economy and workforce, politics, and importantly, at home.
